Calling TV from a snippet

Hiya

I have a site in modx and now one page needs to be a 1 column layout, unlike the rest of the site thats 2 columns.

So - my plan was to create a snippet and call it from the template.

This snippet would either output the table with 2 TVs (one for each column), or if the page is the 1 column page, it outputs just 1 TV and the appropriate HTML.

My question is - "How do I process the TV data".

I’m calling the TV content ok with getTemplateVarOutput, but I expected the rendered output to be - err - rendered. But I just get the content with unrendered snippets.

How do I get a TV with executed snippets / chunks? I could preg_replace the tags myself, but then Ifeel as if I’m duplicating the MODx code.

Ah ok thanks - so in summary, what I did was this:

Create a new TV called Columns
Set the default for this to call a chunk called "twocols" and include the appropriate html and TV calls within that

Then on the page for 1 col I called in another chunk called "onecol". This also had html and the [*content*] TV call

This worked, so it seems that if you include a chunk, you can call TV’s within that chunk, and these then get correctly rendered.
