Editing the doc manager

Does anyone know of a way I could edit the doc-manager? Just the UI-part of it.
I’ve looked through some of the code, but it’s hard to see where it all is because of the countless numbers of PHP includes it calls.

I literally just want to take out some features that won’t be needed by the client and add in a button to add in a <p id="foo"></p>

Do you mean the document editing part of the manager or the Doc Manager module? There is the ManagerManager plugin that you might look at for the actual manager itself.

I’m not sure which, the one that works as a rich-text editor when the user is editing a page, I want to change a button or two on it. "TinyMCE" it’s called.
