is it possible to add php in the template i make for modx? as at the moment i am trying, but it doesnt work...

PHP code should go into the snippet.
Create a snippet ( for example name it like ’MySnippet’ ) and place [!MySnippet!] or [[MySnippet]] in the site template or content area of documents.
