Has anybody attempted to integrate dotproject with modx?

What do you mean with integrate? What functions will/should be integrated into modx?

I played around with incorporating Todoist into a tab in the manager using the Todoist api but my ajax was not good enough to get it to work. Maybe I will try again with jQuery.

And yes I wouuld be interested in seeing dotproject integration.

I’m getting pretty deep into dotproject ... (It seemed to be the one for me ... maybe there were better options but ... the code talked to me and it looked clean enough to fiddle with).

I’m trying to get revolution up and going and that is the deal-maker/breaker at the moment. I’m not too interested in working on either a module or rewrite for the older modx code.

I’m thinking about several ideas at the moment but basically from a code perspective:
step 1: a bridge function
step 2: api level integration
step 3: full in-house

I’ve actually taken dotproject a few modules wider than it’s original purpose for a client and I was thinking that a marriage between modx and dopo would be something to give back to everybody.

Another reason is that I would like to see modx stay internal with it’s features

BUT... integrate the project management features into the modx manager to develop from there?
integrate it so that the client can use it while developing their website content? ...

hmmmm .... I was thinking of something like SMF board with it’s bridge and then slowly moving over the code base to the modx type of coding.
As for UI integration, I was thinking of having the admin run it like a module with a dashboard and such.

However, a major problem is that dopo is not a frontend/backend type of setup. It’s more of a frontend type of application so permissions and such are going to be a big part of controlling the web section and the functionality section of dopo.
