Is this possible? SEO plugin- search db or "documents" and change phrase to link

I have a situation where on a site I work on (not MODx, btw), I need to go through 500+ pages, find anchor text, and create links to another page on the website from the anchor text. Seeing as I am working exclusively on MODx for new sites, it led me to wonder if it would be possible to automate the process from with MODx, and whether anyone would be interested in coding such a plugin.

For example: Search all content for the phrases "apples", "red apples", and "blue apples". on the first instance of this phrase per document (in the [*content*] area, more specifically) replace phrase with <a href="[DESIRED URL]" title="[PHRASE HERE]">[PHRASE HERE]</a>.

great, I did search the repository, but I didn’t find that!

It’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but I don’t think Autolink is either. It might get you a good idea of what to do.
