I’ve traced an error that QuickEdit throws to it improperly creating the path for where to find the includes.

How do I change the $GLOBALS[’quick_edit_path’]; and base path in the Module to get rid of that extra "//" in the path? I get this problem on every install, particularly if I disable and then re-enable QuickEdit.

It’s not a matter of an extra // in the path, you’ve got your base_path prepended to an already full path. So the actual path configured for it should be relative to your site; assets/modules/quick_edit... since the /home/hiperosc/public_html/ part gets added.
See what you have in Modules | Manage Modules | QuickEdit | Configuration Tab | Module Path
I think that’s where quick_edit_path comes from.
As sottwell suggests, it should probably be assets/modules/quick_edit
