Broke QuickEdit... get « MODx Parse Error »

Anybody... somebody

I did a bad thing. I deselected, disabled, and otherwise basically turned off every QuickEdit thing I could find until I finally got to stop showing up. Again, I did a bad thing. Now I realize that I should have controlled who sees it based on user priveledges. Ooops... Now it’s all broken. I can get it to reappear. I go back and set everything I can, but all that happends is a "« MODx Parse Error »." When I’m logged into the /manager, I get the error, but not when I ’m not logged into the /manager. That should provide some clue as to the cause/fix.

If you did this :
Resources => Manage Resources => Plugins => QuickEdit => Plugin Disabled
And this :
Modules => Manage Modules => QuickEdit =>Module Disabled
You should be able to re-enable them both, logout and back in, hopefully QuickEdit is working again.

Thanks for the reply. I did as you suggested. Breakage persists. Can you provide the exact settings you have please?

Strange, there are no settings that I change, only to enable or disable both the module & plugin.
Have you cleared your browser cache or tried logging in with another browser?
Did you actually delete any code from the plugin or module?

Yes, I cleared the cache, and no, I didn’t touch the code.

In >Resources>Manage Resources>System Events tab>, I check "OnParseDocument" and "OnWebPagePrerender"

If I uncheck one or the other, or if I check both it breaks with the error.

Those two are the right settings for the plugin.

Both the plug-in and the module have configuration settings, did these get preserved during the process? Check the configuration tab for both of them.

If you cant get it to work you may consider running the installer in update mode and select the quickedit plug-in and module from the add-on list to reinstall them from scratch.

Remember to have backups
