TV call in a snippet

Is it possible to place a TV in a snippet? Strikes me that [*this*] would be a problem when placed in a snippet?

In snippet code you use $modx->getTemplateVar(’tvname’, ’docid’); and its brethren

No, docid is the document ID of the document in question. If it’s the current document, you can use $modx->documentIdentifier

if "this" is the name of the TV in question.

Making simple snippet for MODx is a great way to learn. And posting your efforts will help, because somebody will reply with any improvements or security issues that they see.

I’m writing a series of in-depth articles on MODx, eventually I’ll get to one on using the MODx API (like $modx->getTemplateVar()! ).
