Hi,
I am developing a subdomain context and all seems to be working well. I struggled with getting my assets to display correctly. I followed some ideas from within the forums here:
Virtual Host Subdomain and I have my images and css working. I wanted to check my implementation though, it seems...odd.
For the sake of simplicity, lets say my site is: "www.example.com" and my subdomain is "
http://m.example.com"
Here is what I did:
- I have create a directory within my site called "m.example"
- I have created/updated all of the context settings so my context is working correctly
- I created a new system setting "shared_assets_url" and set the value to "http://www.example.com/m.example/assets/
- I updated my style sheet and images accordingly: <link rel="stylesheet" href="[[++shared_assets_url]]css/style.css">
Everything is working - which is good, I’m just not sure if I fully understood what it was I should be doing. Any insight/suggestion would be appreciated.
