I did a search for about 30 minutes and I didn’t have luck. I just made a site go live and I don’t want all the bells and whistles QuickEdit puts up using TinyMCE. Is there a way to make it simple theme editing and add let the user also put in links and upload photos? Thanks.
You can do this in the configuration of the plugin itself. Go to Resources->Manage Resources->Plugins->TinyMCE->Configuration. You can change the Web Theme to whatever theme you wish front-end users to use. If you need to customize the available plugins and buttons, choose Custom and then set the Web Plugins and Web Button options.
The only thing you can’t do is allow front-end users to upload photos due to the security risks it involves. Version 0.9.6.2 will introduce an option that will allow for front-end web users the ability to use the file browser but that solution will only be for logged in web users. The reason is that the directories used for the file browser are global and thus allowing front-end users to use the same directories means opening up the possibility of them deleting important images, files, and such for your site.
For file uploads you could opt to use a file upload TV or a snippet.
