How to disable QuickEdit?

QuickEdit causes some things like Lightbox not to work so I want to disable it. I never use it anyway. I followed these instructions for disabling it, but it still shows up when I’m logged into the manager.

I disabled it, cleared cache, logged out, reset my browser, but once I log back into the manager, QuickEdit reappears.

Go to the QuickEdit plugin and check the box to disable it.

Manager > Modules > Manage Modules > QuickEdit and then tick the box that says, "Module disabled".

Is that how? It didn’t work. huh

There is the quick edit plug-in as well. you need to disable both the module and the plug-in.

I deleted it and now the site doesn’t work while I’m logged into the manager. It gives this error.

Figured it out. In Manager > Resources > Manage resources > Plugins > QuickEdit there was a tick box. I was looking under the Dependencies tab which was my error. undecided
