Web Users - Add to Favorites snippet ideas needed?

I went through the snippet resources A to Z and don’t seem to see anything that fits what I am looking for and I was wondering if any of you might have some ideas.

I would like a way for visitors to be able to create an account and login as a web user (that part I know how to do) and then be able to add pages to an "Add to Favorites" list within the website. Not in the browser bookmarks or favorites. I imagine it would work something like creating a members menu that they can save the pages they like and create their own menu. But I can’t seem to get my head around how that could be done.

Does anyone have any ideas of how this could be achieved?

You would probably want to create a new database table. There’s 2 ways that come to mind here.

1. Use ppp - http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,8922.0.html
- it allows settings for users
- create a snippet that lists Favorite pages to be allowed
- let the user save it as the personalized profile
- create a snippet to parse that field and show the menu
- this may be easiest since it was made for personalized users. I use it a lot.

2. use eForm
- create a new table (or add a column to the extended users table)
- create a snippet that lists Favorite pages to be allowed (this could also be manually created)
- use the eform &eFormOnBeforeMailSent to do your php stuff (save checkbox as array to the new column, field)
- create a snippet to parse that field and show the menu
- this might be quickest if you’re proficient in php/mysql

I’m sure there are other ways too. That’s the 2 easiest/quickest that come to mind.
