Hello , I need to do a user (manager) authentication through another database instead of the existing modx database, for that I need to make modifications in "login.processor.php" , can somebody tell me where exactly to make modifications and also what other files has to be modified.

You do not need to modify this core file, you can simply use a plugin to do the external authentication; there are several events you can utilize that are associated with this capability.
Okay, After I do an external authentication, I need to cross check with the external database user with the modx_manager_user, if they are same then i allow to login, how to do that?
