    Hi,

i wrote a snippet which generates some content for two sites (The two sites call this snippet). These sites are children of another page. What i want to do now, is to show the content from the children pages on the main page. (The content is only a snippetcall)

how can i retrieve the parsed content from the children?

      Hey derpie,
you should look into Ditto, it’s pretty nifty for grabbing data from just about anywhere.

      The documentation is at http://ditto.modxcms.com/

It is a core snippet, so unless you disabled it upon install, you should already have it.

If you need any more help, holler.

        Hi,

thanks for your reply. I looked at ditto, but i couldn’t really see how it can help me. Maybe i understood it wrong, but all the parameters in the wiki relate to the site itself, but I need the content of the children.

          OK, maybe I misunderstood.

I’m a little lost as to your setup, so you have a page which belongs to a site, you have 2 other sites as children (I don’t really understand how a site can be a child of another site, unless it’s a subdomain).

Is your snippet being called from MODx directly? Can you show us it so we get an idea of how you are setup?
Do you have 3 separate MODx installations for the (3?) sites?

Sorry if I am a little slow.

I think that DynContent snippet will parse the content from other docs.

              Hi,

I think dyncontent is the right thing! Thanks a lot.

my setup looks like this: pressreview -> press, blogs (both of these children have many revies as children) i managed to list all these reviews in press and in blogs. and then i wanted to show the pressreview on the mainpage, but the mainpage children are press und blogs and not the actual pressreview. you get it?

              i’ll try use dyncontent.

              regards
