One TinyMCE Installation for multiple MODx sites

Hi everyone,

We are using MODx for multiple websites and installing a fresh installation for each new website.

The total amount of files in MODx not including the installer or TinyMCE folder is 1265 files.
The total amount of files in the assets/plugins/tinymce212 folder is 901 files, so TinyMCE is taking up nearly 50% of the file count in a MODx installation.

I think it’s a very TinyMCE is the best WYSIWYG editor out there and clients couldn’t do without it, but is there any way to install it on the server and have the other MODx websites use the one version???

097 will allow you to run multiple sites off a single install by design. For 096 you might try to symlink to the TinyMCE install directory between the site roots if your permissions are set up to accommodate that.
