    Hi,

Can anyone give me any clues how I’d customise the modx error page shown if any PHP errors occur?

    Thanks,
    Stek

        Thanks for reply...

Is this the only error page in use? The script mentions it’s outdated in the comments at the top...

I am working with Stek (the person who posted the original post above) - but hes out today, so forgive if take this up on his behalf in his absence.

The error we get has a big red title of << Modx Parse Error >>
Modx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource....
it then proceeds to give away *way too much* information than we want visible.

Also on this page it says "error while inserting event log into database"

Is there a way of diverting an error to an error page that can be customised? I have tried the settings in the manager - and we have a custom error page set up and working - which appears if a page doesnt exist etc, but not on these parse errors.

Please can someone help urgently as we are having these issues on a live site.

MODx Parse Errors are just adding some additional information to PHP fatal errors so you and/or your users can report what the problem is. There is not currently a way to customize this; you should fix the parse errors.

Future releases (0.9.7+) will allow custom error_handlers to be used in MODx.
