configinc.php - file MB a disaster ... help ! (im new to this :-)

I have installed the lastest version of ModX. Then i had problems with ajaxsearh, so i downloaded and upgraded the files including the snippet. I got and error regardning my config.inc.php - THIS i what i did !!!! I saw that there was no config file on the server so i renamed the config-inc.blank to config.inc and uploaded it. Now alle database setting are gone and it wants to install again ... What do i do, can i simply create a config.inc.php with the correct database setting and everything will wrok again or ?? As i said im new to this !

Do you have a backup of your original config file?

If not, the database settings are up at the top:
```
$database_type = 'mysql';
$database_server = 'localhost';
$database_user = 'uname';
$database_password = 'passw';
$database_connection_charset = 'utf8';
$dbase = '`dbname`';
$table_prefix = 'modx_';
```
That connection_charset is what was causing problems with AjaxSearch.
Just learning the ropes.
