    I am submitting this with fear and trembling, because I am not a coder, just a tweaker. I am sure the Javascript is not pretty, but it seems to be working for me. If anyone else uses the livesearch configuration (without the Go! button) this might work better for you.

    Basically I disabled the form enter/return event when in livesearch. I also am checking the input value to see if anything even changed. Before the output window would be jumping all over the place and many times would toggle to a blank state if you didn’t type fast enough.

    Anybody want to try it and see if it works for you?

    My first addition was in the ajaxSearch.js file under js folder around line 46:

      	    if (liveSearch) {
    			$('ajaxSearch_form').onsubmit = function() { return false; };// don't trigger extra toggles with Enter/Return keypress
    		} else {
    			$('ajaxSearch_form').onsubmit = function() { doSearch(); return false; };
    		}

    and line 117

      old_si = si; // just looking at what the input was
      si = $('ajaxSearch_input').value; // what is it now
      if (si == old_si) return false; // if nothing has changed, do nothing
      // Same if the search is blank
      if (si == '') return false;

    and more...
      Just learning the ropes.
