Google sitemap 1.6 not showing up anything

Hello,

I got the latest stable release of modx and downloaded the googlesite map 1.6 but whenever I try to use the snippet nothing comes up. I did follow all the right instructions and searched many forums and read the tutorials.. nothing. I’m a decent php programmer but I’m new to modx.
What I have done
Created the snippet.
Created Blank page text/xml
insterted many variations of [[SiteMap]] with and without vars.
No matter what happens I get a blank page. Nothing in the even logs.
What am I doing wrong here?

Which snippet do you use? Is it this one : http://modxcms.com/sitemap-711.html? Then you should post in its support thread: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=5754
Moreover, names are case sensitive: check if your snippet is named the same as in your snippet call ...
