Trying to start at the parent and work down, but the ’[*parent*]’ variable doesn’t seem to be correct.
Is this syntax correct? Do I need the single quotes?
The docs show the variable, but not the call in the same reference of the doc. I couldn’t find an example
of using the variable to call a snippet.

    [[Wayfinder? &startId=’[*parent*]’&level=1&titleOfLinks=’introtext’&parentRowTpl=’cssplay_parentRow’]]

    Thanks

You want to be using backticks (`) and not single quotes (’) in the snippet call (that goes for all snippet calls).

And, I think you will need to call the snippet uncached for it to correctly parse the TV value, this should work:
      [!Wayfinder? &startId=`[*parent*]` &level=`1` &titleOfLinks=`introtext` &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow`!]
