Could we use modules for creating new documents, use it like an input for a new news article for example? This would be a great feature to make adding new content easier for clients who do not understand the article=document principle. I will need to re-read the tutorials and take a closer look at modules.

Would using NewsPublisher (or an altered version of it) in the front-end for logged in Webusers serve your purposes? I’ve used it to let naive users add "articles."

      (bump)

Can anyone try to explain how to use "dependencies" + the resource field properly (see my question above) ?

I didn’t see any explanations anywhere...

If you look at QuickEdit, the plugin shows a dependency on the QuickEdit module. I think this is primarily informational, so the user knows what other elements a plugin needs in order to work.

That works great but I was looking for a way to keep it all in the manager and simplify common tasks. I have one client who suffered to understand the document tree and adding/duplicating and the contextual menu were way over his head. I created "quicklinks" in the manager to make it easier which helped. ManagerManager does a good job in simplifying the fields. But I was thinking that a simple input module could be even better for inputting common tasks.
