Hey all
Relatively new to mod-x. Finding it a steep learning curve but slowly getting there and liking what I see so far.
Am wanting to use images quite heavily on a site that am using mod-x for and was wanting to attach/associate three or four fields of meta-data with each image (caption, reference #, etc). Would the best way to go about this be to create a module - am reluctant to use TVs as each image may be used on multiple pages.
Any suggestions?

If you decide to use a back-end management system, I’ve got a three-part article on doing that.

The MaxiGallery snippet will give you a caption, description, and reference number for each image automatically. I think it would be easy to modify it to add more fields. If you can make MaxiGallery work for you, it will be a lot easier than creating a module.

Had looked at MaxiGallery and can’t quite put my finger on it but really don’t want image management to be done at the front-end through quick-edit/document preview (as I understand it this is the only way that maxiGallery images can be managed).
If it had a back-end manager then that would be just the ticket! That and custom fields are both planned features though [1] but not sure how forthcoming...
Really wanted a centralised image gallery feature/module which is controlled at the back-end and can be referenced (and used) on different pages without image repetition. Moon and stick [2] spring to mind
That makes sense, although you *can* easily control who gets to see the upload and management pages in the front end using MaxiGallery.
