Simple one, I Hope. Is it possible to nest snippets, for example I have a snippet called "Footer" and in it i want to call 3 different snippets, "Column1", "Column2", "Column3", is this possible and if so how?

Do you mean chunks or snippets? Nested chunks just add the chunk call within the other chunk. You can run snippets within other snippets by using the modx api (I don’t remember the exact call but it does exist).
