How to make a catalog of resources? (like the one at modxcms.com)
Each item in my catalog have:
- a file to download
- an image (optional)
- HTML description
- version
- one or more custom text fields
I need:
- categories
- ratings
- sorting by popularity (downloads) and by rating
Web users should be able to upload new items.
Treat each resource item as a MODx document and include the approriate TVs. I think that there are a few rating snippets in the repository. Not 100% sure about the sort by popularity but I guess that you could use a simple counter snippet and store the data in a TV then use ditto to sort by that TV.
I am guessing newspublisher or FDM could handle the user updates.
