Yahoo Editor

Hello!

Long time no see, but I’m back!

I want to ask the MODx Community a question:
Did somebody implement the Yahoo Editor into MODxCMS? If yes, please share!

And it will be a good contribution for both 096 and 097.
097 manager use Ext (don’t know if it is with the YUI Library ), but still (the alpha) use TinyMCE as Rich Text Editor

I don’t think Yahoo uses extJS, they cook their own stuff so to speak
Is there any extJS based editor Laurent ?

Could be nice to have something using the same library as 0.9.7 when it gets out...

extJS does have a basic editor, you can see it demo’d here inside a form:

I heard that Ext come from YUI, same creator, and now Ext can be used with YUI, jQuery and Prototype.
When I played with Ext to create a MODx module, I have used the YUI adapter.

extJS is a good choice in my opinion, because it supports multiple libraries including YUI!
I could rewrite it for use with extJS, but I don’t know anything about extJS licensing.
Is it free for personal and commercial use?
If yes, I will use it, otherwise, I think I just integrate the YUI Editor into MODx.

I don’t want to make my own JSsalad, so which framework does the 097 manager use? (I don’t have the alpha.)
I hope extJS or YUI..

The YUI Editor is definately an enhancement to MODx! And who knows maybe you get nominated as THE CMS by Yahoo themselves for promotion purposes, you know.. :P
