MLM (Multi Level Marketing) possible?

Hi.

I am looking into creating a MLM (Multi Level Marketing) site using a CMS (preferably MODx).

This would require site replication based on a template, as the affiliates (members) would need their own "home page" as their base of operation.

Basically the process is:

Affiliates initially go to the sign up page, fill out their information, pay using a credit card, paypal, etc - once it’s accepted their website it’s instantly created (ex: www.site.com/username) and the fields that they filled out are then inserted into the appropriate tags within the template.

The system should allow unlimited users to create a website this way. Free or paid. There’s alot more to it, obviously, but that’s the basics.

Any input would be appreciated.

I am very interested in this capability as well. Can anybody shed some more light about this?

This would make way more sense to do with Revo if you wanted control of this sort of like SaaS as you could use contexts to do it. Otherwise, you'd need to have a base site created—essentially creating a distribution of MODX or use server tools to replicate and deploy a clone of a base site directory. Again, this would be easier to to in Revo with transport packages.
