New project I am getting started on and need some advice from those who have used MODx to manage multiple websites from the same installation.

The project requires three websites with identical content. Each site would have its own set of templates and use site-specific chunks and site names to make each a little more unique.

    www.Site1.com
This is a sample chunk of content from [SiteName1] where [SiteSloagan1].
    www.Site2.com
This is a sample chunk of content from [SiteName2] where [SiteSloagan2].

The idea is to customize each site to the audience group although the product information would be identical through each site.

So, Revo or Evo? Setup suggestions or help?

Any advice or suggestions from those who have done this would be much appreciated.

I’m not so experienced on managing multiple sites on one installation, but as far as I know, Revolution is better for this, becouse of the possibility of creating different Contexts so you can create conditional stuff for each context.

But if the difference it is not big you only need the differnce on the text I suggest you to use a snippet with an array of the slogans and name and change it throught a variable for each domain...

Well the text would have some minor variation between sites and I would use a different template for each site. Otherwise, everything will remain the same.

For setting up the multi domain thing:
          http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=42858.0
This can be done quite easily.

The one thing i don’t know is that:
You can use one context for storing all the data.
And then 3 contexts, one for every site.
But is it possible to access to data from the so called data context from a website context??

I think that a solution would be that: he could use the data as chunks, and the dynamic stuff could be TV’s
