Generating PDFs on the Fly

Hello all,

Is there any way to generate PDF version of ModX pages ’on the fly’?

I am aware of an old forum topic about it here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,5505.0.html

Has anything been done since the last post on the above topic?

maybe you could incorporate FPDF or domPDF into a snippet?

I also found http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/2905.html whilst surfing for something completely different a few days ago.

There are several sites that can convert existing HTML pages to PDF documents, but these can only be used if the pages are publicly accessible.

This class provides a solution to work around that difficulty. It submits request to PDF to HTML conversion sites, passing as parameter a URL of the current script that serves HTML document, that could even be private.

PaulGregory had started working on a plugin to do just this, but I don’t know what has become of it... maybe PM him and check this out...
