Is it possible to incorporate mg2 photo gallery in Modx?

I have seen Maxi gallery and it is decent enough for usage. But has anyone seem MG2 from http://www.minigal.dk/ ? It doesn’t have ajax but it makes a great and clean gallery, resizing horizontal and vertical pictures into same sized thumbnails (which I haven’t seen MaxiGallery do - maybe I’m missing something?).

I am not a programmer and have no knowledge of PHP but for any photo gallery enthusiasts out there, could you please have a look at MG2 and see if it can be incorporated in ModX?

If you set the MG2 template to look the same as your MODx template your visitors won’t be able to tell the difference. Yes it’s possible, but if you’re looking for user integration as well (IE: a "bridge"), this question might be better asked in the Commercial Inquiries & Bounties section if you want someone to program a bridge.

MODx is geared towards the webmaster who needs a common framework that can be extended without limit to fit the requirements of the end-user. So it’s understandable that MODx would come across as "bare bones" out of the box.

The transport packages that are being worked on in version 0.9.7 will greatly reduce the amount of work people put in to installing extensions for MODx. Check out posts by OpenGeek for more information about upcoming releases.

There’s a lot of great portal solutions andyash, and that’s not what MODx is chasing. I’m 100% in the "keep MODx YAPS-free" camp for default distributions. (Yet Another Portal System)
