When editing my content via MODx, my HTML gets collapsed together. Any newline or code formatting gets lost when I save my changes. I have tried all of the content editors and all the same results. Is there a configuration that specifies if newlines are stripped out of HTML. I really would like to format my HTML. I love MODx except for this one problem.

Does it happen always in what ever form you save? eg. also when saving snippets or templates, and when using "none" as the editor when saving documents? if it happens in every form, I would guess that it’s some kind of a mod_security setting or something in your server environment..

The RTE’s can be manually configured to prevent the cleanup and formatting they normally perform. You should be able to find this in the documentation of the RTE you are attempting to correct this on.
I’ll take a look at the RTE. Thanks for the info. Ill post what fixes the problem.
I tok another look at this. It is only happening when editing Rich Text. Specifically the CONTENT rte. My snippets and other normal text fields work fine.
