still mimtex plugin problems

I’m a bit desperately renewing my post.
Is there someone out there using the mimetex plugin on modxcms?

The problem is that it generates an error when i use other quotes then <tex> </tex>.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: curl_init() in /home/cr/public_html/mod/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(724) : eval()’d code on line 60

the using quotes where < and > are involved doesn’t work because the are replaced by the parser,
or what you call the program that cleans the html code.

please if somebody has an idea

I tried to follow the instructions on
http://www.modxcms.com/mimeTeX-0.5-1453.html

to install the mimetex plugin
but something doesn’t work.
(i have my on linux server and the cgi works,
i use the same for a typo3 webside on the same server)

When I use the tinyMCE editor it renders the < and > tags

<tex>\frac{c}{c-1}</tex>

becomes:

&lt;tex&gt;\frac{c}{c-1}&lt;/tex&gt;

which cannot be interpretet.
When i write <tex> asdf </tex> in the HTML view

modxcms removes the tags <tex> </tex>.

do you have any idea how i can change that?

One thought: could you change the start and end tags used by the plugin to [tex] and [/tex], or some other syntax? That should avoid the problem...

{tex}
((tex))
[tex]

none work all except the last one generate the above error.
with [tex] nothing happens
modxcms just plots the string [tex] in the weboutput.
