Installing Modules

    Hello,

    How do you go about installing modules into the MODx administration panel? I am new to MODx and just wanted to get so insight on how to go about doing this.

      Modules -> Manage Modules, then the New Module link.

      Most modules are just configuration code that includes the actual working code, which is usually stored in .php files in assets/modules/modulename.

        Same question here,

        I’m trying to follow instruction on http://www.modxcms.com/KoopsMailinglistX-896.html, but I don’t understand how to run module.

        Actually I’m trying to port my PHP simple forum into MODx for educational purpose (like getting idea of AJAX and etc.) and to get advantage of it’s APIs. But currently I’m lost inside it’s snippets, plugins, modules and other structures. As far as I understant the appropriate one for my needs is module and I’m trying to understand it’s behaviour by example.

        Any other suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance.
