    Hello

Is there already a plugin, making a directory <http://www.google.ch/dirhp?hl=de> from firefox-bookmarks or Bookmark-files in xml-format?

      What?

Are you talking about something like the Sitemap Snippet?

No. If someone has hundreds of links in his bookmark-file, then maybe he wants to post it on the webpage.
On the first webpage, there you can see the all the folders of the level. Then, if you click through, you get deeper in the structure of the bookmark-file:

        example:
        1. Level: Private - Work
        2. Level Private: eBanking - Hobbies
        2. Level Work: UBS
        3. Level Private eBanking: www.ubs.com/ebanking, www.bankingonline.com, ...
        3. Level Private Hobbies: Football
        3. Level Work UBS: www.ubs.com/director/assistent/workerx.html - www.ubs.com/interna/todos/workerx.php
        4. Level Private Hobbies Football: www.ajax-amsterdam.com - www.werder-bremen.com

And with this output, there is also a breadcrumb.

Maybe this is a bit difficult for a snippet...

I’m sure a snippet could be designed for such a task, but you could "export" your Firefox, Safari, or IE bookmarks to an html file, then use the MODx "Import HTML" feature under tools.

Personally, I think application specific bookmarks are obsolete. When I have some time, I’ll start work on a del.icio.us to MODx bridge where you can manage and display your del.icio.us bookmarks on your site.

For some users, a del.icio.us-ModX-Bridge is fantastic. But we do have some people managing their bookmarks in a "firefox"-Bookmark-File, and I do not tell them using del.icio.us, I do not have that time to support them.

I found a tool this morning: http://www.bleb.org/software/bkmrkconv - http://www.bleb.org/bookmarks who exactly makes this (is opensource)

Unfortunately, i am not a programmer - so if someone find this interesting - please feel free. I would even spend for such a snippet.
