Recently i’ve decided to test what my sites are look like if they are visited by a foreigner.
So content looks good, localized address links (in the address bar) looks pretty good too.
But the title in the "Title bar" of the browser looks strange.
I can see only "??????? huh?? huh??" signs instead of text in the title.
You can see this on the screenshot attached.
So when i normally visit my site i see no errors and
when some foreigner (e.g. smbdy from America) comes to my site, he sees only "?? ??" instead of localized title.
Is it possible to fix this? How?

That looks like a character set problem. Are all the tables and fields in your DB set to same character set as the DB collation and the MODx character set?
Do you have a character set specification in your template?

This might be a possible solution: http://bobsguides.com/convert-db-utf8.html

Yes, it looks like a character set problem.
But everything is in utf-8 (default locale and DB).
I’ll check if character specs in my template is also set. But I guess it sould be ok - because content text and address are correct.
The problem is in <title>[[*pagetitle]] - [[++site_name]]</title> only.
Maybe MODx returns text for theese placeholders in a wrong char encoding?
