Document Specific TVs

Hello everyone!

I need TVs that show up only for specific documents. My idea was to create a document group (in Manager > Security > Manager access permissions > Document groups) and assign the TV only to that group (in Manager > Resources > Manage Resources > Template Variables > $TV > Access permissions).

However the TVs assigned to that specific document group still show up when editing other documents. I don’t know if this is a bug in MODx 0.9.5 or I misunderstood the concept?

Is there a way to get document specific TVs?

Considering that their full name is Template Variable, it follows that they are template-specific. It would be nice if documents could be grouped by categories (like other resources are now), and you could have Category Variables! Not to mention assigning templates by category. All in good time; the 0.9.7 core will make many things possible.

hm ... now that you say it. Of course I can create specific templates intead of specific document groups.
