Event booking form (with Paypal)

Hello,

I’m using Modx to make a site for an event. I need to find a way for people to buy tickets on the site that allows them to submit information depending on how many tickets they buy at once.

i.e. If a user chooses to buy 4 tickets they will then need to be prompted (alongside inputting their own details) to input the name, email address & phone numbers of the 3 people they’re buying tickets for. This should then end up in a payment to paypal and all the relevant details be accessible to us in a database ideally.

Can anyone think of a suitable way to go about this?

But I’m contemplating how I can build it myself. But not sure if I have the time.
I’d much rather have it integrated with google events.

Unfortunately, GoogleEvents doesn’t utilize the Calendar API. My hope is someday someone will rewrite it to utilize the API for allowing events to be written to your calendar, and then doing a booking functionality would be possible with GoogleEvents.

That is a pretty slick appointment interface though. Maybe you could move this post to the Wishlists

Hi Jesse, I went to blue sky vineyard and it didn’t render correctly on Safari.
Wasn’t sure if it really mattered to you or not, but I wanted to check out how you implemented it

http://www.blueskyvineyard.com doesn’t use GoogleEvents. In fact, I haven’t used it with a live site yet, but it will be used with Blueskyvineyard.com once I convert it over to MODx. There are a couple of sites that are using it with live sites, and barring a few bugs, that the 1.3.3 release fixed, the snippet seems to be working very well.

Instead of using the API, I just utilize the XML feed when you make your Calendar public, and parse the text output of that feed.
