Product catalogue in Revo

I have to build a product catalogue of 5000 products in 4 languages (20000 items)

Every product has following options:
-photogallery
-4 prices (only visible for registered users > 4 groups)
-Prices have to be updated every 3 months
-Stock has to be updated weekly or even better, daily

It’s just a catalogue, no e-commerce

What is the best way to handle this in Modx Revo? And can Revo handle that amount of products?
Do I have to design an external product database to handle the import/export of prices and stock or is this possible with resources and TV’s?

People who have done this before, I like to hear your opinion!

I’d look at VisionCart and just use the Catalog parts.
