Customising WayFinder

Hello Everyone,

I’m pretty new to Modx, but I love playing around with it. It seems to be one of the most flexible, simple and effective cms packages that I’ve come across yet.

As I’m fairly new to this, do excuse me if I’m posting this issue in the wrong place. I am currently playing around with the WayFinder snippet that came included with my installation. I have it activated, but am wondering how to change its appearance, because the default ’blue shades’ don’t go with my intended final design. Where can I locate the file/section of coding that will enable me to play with this snippet?

That’s all controlled in your CSS files. You can customize it there any way you wish.

Thanks very much for your reply. Can these CSS files be edited within the Manager Panel, or must they be edited externally by locating that particular file and hard-coding it?

You can do it three ways, depending on your file permissions:

1) Use a file and an FTP program to access update it.

2) Use the file manager (Resources > Manage Files); this one may require some permissions tweaking.

3) Use a document as a CSS file, which also allows you to have a CSS file with logic in it (you can use snippets, chunks, TVs or any other form of logic as with any other page in MODx).
