Autolink performance problem

Since I upgraded to ModX 095 RC2 I hoped that my site will be faster to load. But it needs more than 10 sec to give back any content after request. Now I found the "problem": the very useful autolink plugin brakes the performance of rendering modx pages. I don’t understand much enough of PHP/mySQL to solve this problem. Can anybody help? Garry? Any ideas?
Btw: I love this plugin and its function to set acronyms/abbr/lang automatically but I need more speed.

I’ll look into it ... I have a few ideas I want to try out regarding performance but you’ll have to bear with me for a while - I recently started a new job and it’s taking up a large amount of time at the moment.

Out of interest, how many keywords do you currently have specified?
