How to insert and 'explode' checkboxes in field

Hello,

I am working with PPP and eForm. I want to have a checkbox for "How are you involved". The user will be able to select multiple items.

How can I save all of these items in the field? And how can I retrieve these items from the database field?

Or would it be better to create a seperate table to only hold these items?
