web-based calendar

Came across this calendar that has been abandoned by the author. Wondering if any dev has the time to revive this as it would make for a really nice component of a Modx site.

I love the irony of a calendar being abandoned because the author has no free time.

If it was complete, then I’d definitely MODx-ify it. But it is apparently buggy in IE, and it appears not to have times for events.

However, the use of Ajax is good, and I like the idea of dragging events to new dates (even though I couldn’t actually get that to work). Also, the style of the calendar is very pleasing. But I’d probably start from a different point.

I haven’t investigated the calendar options for MODx yet, but it is an area that long-term I will be looking at.

What in particular do you like about Monket Calendar?

actually: the author took a year off to travel asia!

it is similar to http://planscalendar.com, only cooler. Planscalendar does have some very good features, but lacks a admin interface. Give monket the features that planscalendar has plus an admin interface, and I think we’ll have a winner

If someone is going to start working on a calendar for MODx, I would recommend you look at Easy PHP Calendar http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/ for inspiration. I have purchased versions on a few sites and am always impressed by the functionality, easy of use, and ability to customize.
