Making an Ajax Document Rating Module

Hi, I’d like to try and implement an ajax rating module similar to this one: http://www.masuga.com/thelab/ajaxrate/ by ryan from masuga.com.

In the documentation it basically uses a custom ratings table so I’m going to have a look at how the poll module handles custom tables and things. I must just say that I’m a total noob when it comes to modules/plugins so if any sane person out here can give me a few pointers upfront it would be greatly appreciated !!!

I have a working copy of the komodomedia CSS star rating in snippet form - I believe this is the same codebase as the masuga.com Ajax version. It can be found here: http://www.modxcms.com/CSS-Star-Rating-547.html

With a bit of Ajaxiness trickery, I reckon it would work a treat. Perhaps we can combine efforts? PM me if you’re interested.
