For the past 6 hours i’ve been trying to get any (and i do mean ANY) photo gallery plug-in to work. I’ve followed all the instructions and moved folders around for each plug-in specifications. None of them seem to work. Is there a setting i need to take into account, or is there something in the template I’m using that i need to add? I’ve got the hang of everything else, I just can’t get any of these photo gallery plug-ins to work. Does anyone have a preferred plug-in they use, and if so tell me what you did to make it work.
Thanks
Dave
MaxiGallery should work fine. It’s used by a whole lot of people.

My favorite is Easy 2 Gallery; it’s a module though, not a front-end gallery management app as MaxiGallery is. I’ve never had any trouble with either of them. Perhaps it would be good to just pick one, and then go to its forum and as specific questions for the specific problems you’re having with it.
I just want something easy, where all i need to do is the style display and have the plug-in point to a specific folder containing the images so my clients can periodically upload new images to the folder and not have to worry about coding new content. I’ll give it another shot with Easy 2 Gallery and hit you up on the Easy 2 Gallery board with any snags I’m running into. Thanks, Susan.
Susan,
I think I’ve successfully installed Easy 2 Gallery. I removed the "install" folder in /modules/easy2/. I put up a bunch of images in assets/images/gallery. I pasted this code in the content area of my page "[!easy2? &landingpage=`__own_ID__`!]". I went to preview the page and it showed this error:

I’m a lot farther along than i was yesterday. Is there a step i’m missing or am I using the wrong code?
Thanks,
