[Solved] Cant install Evo 1.0: :writable problems

    Started installing Evo 1.0 but cant pass the
    validation screen right before installation.

    It says that assets/images is not writable
    but I have both assets/ and assets/images/ set to 0777

    What can it be?

      /assets/cache & /assets/export (and its files inside) are writeable (777) too?

      + media, flash, files

        cache and export were 0777 already...
        media, flash and files werent and once I made them 0777
        it worked...

        can we consider it a bug and have it fixed in the next
        revision to check for each directory?

          This is a known issue with the installation, and is being addressed for the next point release.

              I’m having the same problem on one server. Is there any way to get 1.0.0 installed, nevertheless?

                Martin,

                you have to make these directorys writable too and then hit retry:
                assets/files
assets/flash
assets/media

                It should then say, that the assets/images directory is writable smiley

                It’s just an issue with the language files (i.e. german as I use) that AFAIK don’t have the expressions for the writable warnings from the english originals...
