On the ajax/js install page, I’m successfully finding my database user, then the form appears to create the database, this is created succesfully but no new form appears. I click next and it tells me ’you must enter an administrator password to continue’ or somesuch - but there’s no form showing.
I’ve tried it in chrome, IE and FF with no luck.
I’d like to install and evaluate this software for an upcoming client project but it’s not going far!

It’s a bug in the installer; something to do with language files. You have to click that second link, the one to create the database, again, and then the form for entering the admin info appears.

Susan, do you know if this is reported elsewhere? I’ve run into this myself occasionally but haven’t noted how to reproduce it consistently.

On the database details page, the manager user details section does not appear after creating the database. It is necessary to click the "Create or test..." link again. There is no indication that anything is missing until you click the "next" button, when the popup box informs you that "You need to enter a password for the system admin account", but there is no way to do so. Clicking the "Create or test... " link again was a desperation move.
