Keep getting kicked back out to admin login

New install of Evolution 1.0.1
I am able to access manager but when I change something and click Save I get ejected back out to the login screen and no changes were saved when I log back in and return to manager to view what I attempted to change.

Thank you for your quick response. I may have overlooked a step in the post install process. I noticed the ht.access file but didn’t realize it was necessary to activate it. After adding the lines: SecFilterEngine On
SecFilterSelective "REQUEST_URI" "/manager/index.php" "allow,nolog"
and renaming the file to .htaccess I got an internal server error which disabled my access to the modx install. I commented out those 2 lines, restarted modx, accessed manager, changed a configuration setting and was able to successfully save the change without getting ejected back out to the login screen.

I’ve been searching for a cms to ween myself from years of using Wordpress without the confusing clusterfXXX of drupal. I have heard good reports that modx is easy on website developers producing turnkey websites to be turned over to average low-tech users to self administer.

I’ll give modx a serious workout to see if it fits my way of working. Thank you.
