Upgrade modx

    Hey smiley

    I was just handed this job of managing our company’s site.
    We have a 1.0.2 modx version.

    How do I upgrade to the newest version? Should I upgrade to some more advanced version before the newest?
    I’ve found some msg’s about an upgrade tool, is there something like that?

    Any help will be much appericiated! Thanks!!

        You should be able to go straight from 1.0.2 to 1.0.5 with no problems. The standard techniques are described at http://rtfm.modx.com/display/Evo1/Upgrading (the item transferred from the currently unavailable old wiki that Sharkbait’s link refers to)

        As always, the most important thing is to take a full backup of your files and database before you begin. Before you do that, you might want to clear the Manager Actions and System Events logs via the Reports tab - they can get pretty big.
