new install on web server - can't login to manager

    i’ve just install modx on the server. everything went fine, but then when i tried to login to manager with the admin username and password it kept saying incorrect. please help.

      I think you have posted in wrong place on forum. Not to worry.
      Someone will most probably move to correct place.

      I think you should give a few more details eg MODx version and install details if known.
      This will enable someone to help you.

        It is the latest version of Mod Evolution. Server: Platform Type Debian ; MySQL Version 5.0.83; Perl Version 5.8.8; PHP Version 5.2.12; It would be pity to have to uninstall it without trying at least.
