ERROR: Too many forward attempts!

"ERROR: Too many forward attempts!
The request could not be completed due to too many unsuccessful forward attempts."

What’s this mean?? It seems to have resolved itself, but curious to know.

P.S. I’ve never seen a LARGER error msg!

Usually happens when two pages forward the user to each other or the same forward request is repeated (e.g. missing "page not found" page) ad infinitum.
