Modx Evolution 1.0.2 Install Problems

Install doesn’t get past a blank browser screen when running

http://localhost.com:8888/modx-1.0.2/install/index.php

Setup:
Mac OSX 10.6.2
MAMP 1.7.2
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL 5.0.41
eAccelerator not installed

Browser claims the server is not responding. But I can run another PHP/MySQL installation on the server so I know it is running . . .

And nothing is showing up in Apache or MySQL error logs.

First of all: this question might get more of an answer if you post it in the Evolution (1.0.2) forum(s)...

But to respond to your question, did you already try the following?
- not use the ".com"
- not use "install/index.php"

And I’m suppose you’re sure that you need to use the 8888 port?
